This is a good rice cooker. I got it a 10 days ago, after 5 times using. The only thing I don’t like is the smell of the plastic parts.
You can smell from the vent at back, sounds like kind of chemical smell. When the cooker is working and the fan blowing out the air which smell much stronger. I can even smell it from the cooked rice. I believe this is from the plastic parts which made by low end materials. Don’t know when this will gone? I didn’t expect this kind of smell from a high end rice cooker which made in Japan.
If you’re looking for your first, really high quality, and awesome rice cooker, then this is what you need. I bought it when it cost $255 or so on Amazon, and it does almost everything you want it to do. Very easy to clean, and cooks the rice pretty well. If you’re looking for a small rice cooker, though, this may not be for you.
